Because of the integral nature of reward processing to psychopathology, alterations in reward sensitivity (RS) may represent a critical transdiagnostic risk factor for multiple mental health problems. This chapter reviews the extent to which different self-report, behavioral and neural measures of RS provide convergent evidence of RS alterations in key psychopathology domains, with a particular focus on affective and externalizing disorders.
