A data audit provides periodic feedback on the effectiveness of those activities along with suggestions for improvement. However, studies indicate that many organizations in the world do not comply with data auditing standards, and this leads to many violations and attacks on these organizations. This research paper presents research designed to investigate the extent to which Jordanian private and governmental organizations apply to compliance with data auditing standards and their relationship to the rate of cyber-attacks in these organizations.
