From the 1970s the Italian public television (RAI) incorporated many films into its programming and hired young cinephiles as authors and collaborators. Such an environment generated experiments that challenged the TV language at its core through the remediation and relocation of cinema. La magnifica ossessione (Enrico Ghezzi, et. al.) was a monumental retrospective of movies and various audio-visual materials, aired in 1985 on the third channel of RAI.
