In recent years, imaging in lymphological diagnostics has developed rapidly. In particular, MR lymphangiography allows high-resolution and dynamic analysis of the structure and function of the complete draining lymphatic system, including regional lymph nodes. These are two remarkable strengths that are sure to fully unfold in the visualization of dysontogenetic malformations. Among the traditional imaging modalities, direct X-ray lymphangiography (with oily contrast medium) is used for specific situations in diagnostics and therapy, for example, in the case of lymph leaks.

摘要

In recent years, imaging in lymphological diagnostics has developed rapidly. In particular, MR lymphangiography allows high-resolution and dynamic analysis of the structure and function of the complete draining lymphatic system, including regional lymph nodes. These are two remarkable strengths that are sure to fully unfold in the visualization of dysontogenetic malformations. Among the traditional imaging modalities, direct X-ray lymphangiography (with oily contrast medium) is used for specific situations in diagnostics and therapy, for example, in the case of lymph leaks.
