Laparoscopic BariClip gastroplasty (LBCG) is a new restrictive and reversible procedure acting like a sleeve gastrectomy without the disadvantage of stapling the stomach. This promising technique is under investigation and has several advantages, like avoiding severe complications and decreasing postoperative reflux rate for the majority of patients. In this chapter, we will present the first short-term results published with the BariClip (BC), the complications encountered with this technique, and the possible reoperations after LBCG.
