Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Considerations for the Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching, Learning, and Assessment in Higher Education
摘要
In this chapter, we stress the value of bringing generative AI in postsecondary education to create informed and ethical users of this emerging technology. This discussion is situated in the ways in which AI has and continues to reinforce rather than redress social inequities. It highlights the importance of transparency, inclusivity, and human-centeredness to support generative AI literacy. Moreover, it considers how these principles can be used in postsecondary teaching to prompt evaluative judgment. Including ethics, equity, inclusion, and accessibility as indicators of quality is essential in the age of generative AI and other advanced technologies.
