In this paper, following studies captured in the specialized literature, an analysis is conducted on road traffic accidents from the perspective of their transdisciplinary approach, aiming ultimately to examine and identify potential innovative solutions which could significantly reduce both the number of road traffic accidents and their consequences. Road traffic accidents represent, nowadays, a major area of concern globally, exerting a significant impact on society, the economy, and people’s lives in general. The adopted working method involves the transdisciplinary approach to road traffic accidents, based on reviewing specialized literature, presenting relevant statistical data, analyzing contributing factors, in relation to different types of vehicle collisions. Additionally, a portion of existing safety measures is addressed, from the perspective of their effectiveness. Recognizing the importance of continuous adaptation and innovation is a crucial element of this approach, transcending disciplinary boundaries.
