An Efficient Implementation of an IoT-Based Smart Home Security System
摘要
The increasing number of home invasions and thefts has led to the need for effective home security systems. Commonly used security systems are limited in their capabilities and require manual intervention. With the advent of IoT, it is possible now to create a smart security system for homes that is automated and capable of detecting and alerting owners about any unusual activities. This research paper presents the design and implementation of an IoT-based smart home security system with enhanced capabilities. The system proposed in this paper includes a network of sensors and cameras that are connected to a central hub. The system can detect and respond to various security threats, such as suspicious intrusion, fire, and gas leakage, and can notify owners or authorized persons through their smartphones. The paper describes the system's architecture and the hardware and software components used in its implementation. It also discusses the communication protocols such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and algorithms which are used for data analysis and decision-making. The system's performance is evaluated through simulation and experimentation, and the results show that the system is effective in detecting and responding to security threats. This research paper provides insights into the design and implementation of an IoT-based smart home security system that can enhance the security of homes and provide owners of the home with peace of mind. The system's modular design and scalability make it suitable for use in various home sizes and configurations. The system's potential for integration with other smart home devices and services further enhances its capabilities. The system can be accessed remotely through a mobile application, providing real-time updates on security threats and allowing users to take immediate action.
