The design, installation, energising, commissioning, long-term operation, and documentation of the cathodic protection systems should be fully and permanently recorded. This should include all data pertinent to the design, product information, installation, commissioning, and operation and maintenance of the cathodic protection systems. The initial installation documentation should reflect the latest revision of or any change from design specification including the equipment locations, waterline, etc.
