ASERS theory system containing a neutral gas composed of heavy ions and light electrons is called a plasma. Such systems can be found, as a first approximation, in metals and doped semiconductors. In metals, the neutral gas consists of ions with a positive charge character that forms the crystal lattice, surrounded throughout their volume by nearly free electrons that circulate throughout the material, thus it can be considered a plasma.
