Planning wireless network coverage is essential for assessing network performance and strategizing future deployments. Traditionally, this process has been complex, demanding costly in-field test equipment, extensive man-hours, and physical access to deployment sites over weeks. Inadequate network planning can result in areas with poor coverage or even complete black spots, which can be both costly to rectify and time-consuming, and often challenging to predict. This chapter introduces an AI-based enhancement method designed to improve the effectiveness of wireless coverage planning tools by augmenting test points, thereby supporting more efficient CPE installation.
