This chapter is devoted to a detailed analysis of the influence of different kNN weighting schemes (they are presented in Chap. 3 and summarized in Appendix B) on classification accuracy compared to the performance of the simple 1NN method combined with basic time series distance measures discussed in this book (see Chap. 2 for detailed descriptions and Appendix A for brief presentations). For the sake of a clearer presentation of the results, we will refer to the included weighting schemes and distance measures in the text, tables, figures and their captions with the abbreviations introduced in Chaps. 2 and 3 .
