In Chap. 4, we classified the ReBO based on technology, reconfigurable elements, and the IP utilized. This chapter will focus on providing a detailed description of LUT-based Obfuscation utilizing SRAM technology. We will describe the various methods proposed and showcase how they utilize an LUT as a secure element. We will discuss the methodologies used to select parts of the design and divide the reconfigurable and non-reconfigurable parts. We will elaborate on the flow and security trade-offs versus PPA to better understand the design penalties. We will also describe various approaches along with security analysis and how the individual techniques respond to the SAT attack. Additionally, we will discuss common pitfalls when considering less effort on security analysis and the lack of silicon demonstration.
