Histology of the Periodontal and Gingival Fibres
摘要
The teeth in the oral cavity are structurally and functionally anchored to the jawbone through the facilitation of a group of tissues called the periodontium. The periodontium is composed of cementum, periodontal ligament, alveolar bone, and gingiva. This chapter discusses the histological features of the periodontal ligament and its development.
