This paper explores applicability of the Lanchester equations to model conflicts between two opposing sides by using the Python programming language and its odeint library for solving the appearing differential equations. Through a series of scenarios, the study demonstrates how varying initial conditions and reinforcements affect outcomes of conflicts. It also evaluates how variations in reinforcements and strategic deployments could change the system outcomes illustrating the result by using the library pyplot in Python. The paper contributes to an understanding of mathematical models of the warfare simulation and strategic planning, offering a computational approach to analyse and predict the engagement results.

摘要

This paper explores applicability of the Lanchester equations to model conflicts between two opposing sides by using the Python programming language and its odeint library for solving the appearing differential equations. Through a series of scenarios, the study demonstrates how varying initial conditions and reinforcements affect outcomes of conflicts. It also evaluates how variations in reinforcements and strategic deployments could change the system outcomes illustrating the result by using the library pyplot in Python. The paper contributes to an understanding of mathematical models of the warfare simulation and strategic planning, offering a computational approach to analyse and predict the engagement results.
