The combination of blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) has attracted considerable attention recently for its ability to enhance security, efficiency, and productivity in business environments characterized by volatility and complexity. The integration has notably benefited supply chain management, leading to significant improvements in information reliability, process resilience, faster and cost-effective product delivery, and enhanced product traceability. This research offers an extensive review of the current landscape where blockchain and AI intersect in supply chain operations. It focuses on two main questions: Q1: What research studies currently investigate the merging of blockchain and AI in supply chain contexts? Q2: What future research directions exist for combining blockchain and AI? This analysis explores relevant research that has substantially contributed to advancing knowledge in supply chain management by integrating blockchain and AI technologies, both theoretically and empirically.
