The development of oral wearable biosensors for noninvasive salivary analysis, coupled with wireless communication and artificial intelligence, is revolutionizing the field by extending diagnostics from oral health to overall systemic health. Advances in digital health, including AI-powered teledentistry, enable continuous oral health monitoring via intraoral cameras and smartphones, improving clinical decision-making and treatment effectiveness. This integration fosters precision oral medicine and enhances patient-centered care, particularly in managing chronic diseases. Additionally, augmented reality is being utilized to address dental anxiety, benefiting children, patients with autism spectrum disorder, and adults with dental phobia. The advent of robotics in minimally invasive dentistry, alongside regenerative dentistry focused on tissue engineering and 3D bioprinting, promises a transformative future in dental care.
