The poor therapeutic outcomes and important side effects caused by certain conventional drug therapies have led the researcher to implement a new way to improve the outcomes in the management of certain health conditions, especially cancer, cardiovascular disease, brain disease, respiratory disorders, genetic disorders, etc. Nanotechnology has revolutionized medicine. The introduction of nano-object-like drugs or carriers has shown promising outcomes in the management of diseases. Their engineering employs various types of technology; their medical uses can involve targeting drug delivery systems, controlling drug release, and improving existing drug solubility; and their therapeutic effects include good bioavailability and fewer side effects. There are many nanodrugs available on the market, each with well-defined characteristics, structures, and pharmacological effects on the body, as well as a level of toxicity. This book chapter aims to provide an overview of the recent nanodrugs developed and approved by FDA-EMA regulatory agencies highlighting their pharmacology, their advantages over the existing drugs, and the room for improvement.
