This is an extended meditation on the practice of being ecological. I rethink deconstruction with a particular emphasis on differentiating the globality of the Earth from its planetarity. I argue for, and attempt to practice, a weird approach to ecological thinking emergent from an encounter between a realist spacing-oriented reading of Derridean deconstruction and an ecological reading of American pragmatism. Exposing and critiquing the ways in which many contemporary continental approaches to political ecology fail to fully acknowledge the weirdness of the real, this chapter shows why ecological thinking must always go hand in hand with concerted efforts aimed at learning weirdness and thereby unbridling the critical imagination.

摘要
