摘要
A conclusions chapter which gives a resume of the text of this book, considers the historical evolution of blue pigments, their descriptors in Greek and Roman times and changes in the terminology made in the Renaissance. Green pigments manufactured by synthetic changes incurred in the production of blue pigments. The influence of missionary delegations such as the Jesuits on the release of compositional information and recipes of Chinese and Japanese porcelains in the West. Analytical chemcial data and their usage in determining the origin of cobalt ores in the manufacture of cobalt blues and the adoption of Western sources in Chinese blue decorations summarises the findings and also gives some proposals for future work in this area: some future ideas for analytical studies of decorated ceramics, enamels and glasses.
