The chapter examines the practical methods of three films that utilise the long continuous take. Available Light and London Republic are filmed in time-lapse so the temporal breaks between each film frame impinge upon the notion of strict ‘continuity’ within the continuous take. In Laki Haze, on the other hand, the film is one single shot filmed at normal speed, so of the three films, the single continuous take is perhaps at its purest here.
