Surveys and observations are the primary data sources for user behavior and use of infrastructure. Built environment data examines factors like density, diversity, and design influencing micromobility. Archival data, including media reports and public records, are crucial for policy analysis and safety evaluations. The chapter also includes common practices in data preprocessing to enhance data accuracy, supporting researchers in advancing micromobility studies.
