Enhancing Transparency and Efficiency in Energy Trading Management Systems for Electric Vehicles: The Role of Blockchain, IPFS, and NFTs
摘要
The rapid expansion of electric vehicles (EVs) and the integration of renewable energy sources necessitate enhanced systems for energy trading. This paper investigates the application of blockchain technology to address these needs, emphasizing its potential to foster secure, transparent, and efficient transactions within the energy sector. We evaluate the transaction fees and operational efficacy of four Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible blockchain platforms-BNB Chain, Fantom, Polygon, and Celo-identifying their capabilities in supporting smart contracts and handling significant transaction volumes. Additionally, we explore the use of the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) for improving data integrity and transaction management in EV energy trading. The findings aim to guide policymakers, energy producers, and EV manufacturers in optimizing energy trading systems, thus enhancing the sustainability and efficiency of transportation infrastructures.
