摘要

Politicians and bureaucrats during the last eight years of the First Republic also sought to sustain momentum for Brazil’s diversified production through substantive changes in services to farmers in the field and adoption of agricultural machinery. Their efforts solidified the role of the Center-South as a national hub of innovation supporting diversified agriculture. In the process, educators from the United States became especially prominent, resulting in higher interaction with U.S. private and public sector entities regarding Brazil’s agricultural development needs, especially with respect to technological innovations.
