Etiology and Pathophysiology of Ejaculatory Dysfunction

Ejaculatory dysfunction is one of the most common male sexual disorders, yet often misdiagnosed and overlooked. The spectrum of ejaculatory dysfunction is wide and ranges from premature ejaculation to anejaculation, encompassing various entities like, delayed ejaculation, retrograde ejaculation, and painful ejaculation. The definition and classification of ejaculatory dysfunction is still widely debated and the precise pathophysiology remains an enigma till date. The purpose of this chapter is to provide an insight into the current definitions, classification, and etiopathogenesis of ejaculatory dysfunction.
