Men’s Health: Preventive Diagnostics
摘要
Preventive diagnostics for men’s health are essential for early detection and intervention in risks related to heart attacks, fractures, strokes, cancers, and sexual health issues. Blood tests, complemented by noninvasive assessments, play a critical role in identifying these risks. Key blood tests include lipid profiles, hs-CRP, fasting glucose, HbA1c, homocysteine levels, and natriuretic peptides for cardiovascular health; serum calcium, vitamin D, PTH, and alkaline phosphatase for bone health; and PSA, CEA, AFP, CA-125, and CA 19-9 for cancer screening. Sexual health assessments focus on testosterone, LH, FSH, estradiol, prolactin, and TSH levels. Additionally, genetic testing and advanced diagnostics like telomere length testing, metabolomic profiling, and microbiome analysis offer deeper insights into health and longevity. Specific strategies are tailored for younger, middle-aged, and older men, considering age-specific comorbidities. This comprehensive approach enables healthcare professionals to provide targeted interventions, reducing the risk of severe outcomes and promoting overall well-being.
