Human sexuality is an important physiological activity from which no one can evade or avoid. Even though external genitals in human beings remain in between two thighs, sexual function lies in between two ears. That is our mind plays an important role in human sexual function. After attaining hormonal upsurge during adolescence and adulthood, attraction towards opposite sex is natural and inevitable. Fantasy, seeing, hearing, touch and smell while fascinating the individual arouses him/her sexually and the continuous stimuli keeps them aroused and help to attain the orgasm, satisfaction and enjoyment. Anything interfering in this human sexual response cycle can result in sexual dysfunction. One failure leads to lack of confidence and poor esteem which in turn result in pressure of performance and further failure. Lack of sex education and lack of discussion about sex with parents and teachers result in myths and misconceptions about sex organs and the sexual function, which ultimately ends in sexual dysfunction. Moreover, sex education in schools and colleges, practicing safe sex and adherence to genital hygiene help the sexual function to be a pleasurable one and not a miserable one forever. This will result in a happy and healthy marital life which can last forever.
