Survival rate for childhood cancer has recently increased (from 54% reported in 1980 to actual 80%), and simultaneously palliative care has reached a main role in the management of oncological children, with many professionals involved (including oncologists, radiologists, and surgeons). The definition of palliative surgery has changed from “noncurative” procedures to different practices performed to alleviate an organ dysfunction and offer the best quality of life in all the aspects of life (clinical, psychological, social).
