The estimated prevalence is to be around 20–25% of the adult world’s population who have been suffering from MetS, Following, the use of functional foods which are a rich source of antioxidants, along with the assumption of bioactive compounds, that could be helpful to show the beneficial effects on reducing body weight, glucose metabolism control, blood pressure, the improvement of lipid profile, endothelial damage, on the inflammatory state, along with oxidative stress.
