People’s preference for fast food is growing due to its ease and accessibility. The threat exists over the health effects of fast food, especially among young people and adolescents. This paper aims to explore the reasons that are causing fast-food affinity to rise among university-level students - taking the case of Bangladesh University of Professionals. This mixed methods research was conducted using a case study methodology. Quantitative and qualitative data were collected from the interested participants of BUP using a questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews. A total of 47 participants participated in the questionnaire survey and 09 in the in-depth interviews. The findings of this research demonstrate how social influence and everyday routine can influence university students to make their own food choices. Results showed all the participants consume fast food at least once a week. This study also showed a positive correlation between the duration of stay at the campus, food price and fast-food intake among the participants.
