Agriculture, a crucial sector is facing many challenges as of increasing food demand due to increasing population, increasing crop losses due to climate change, lack of and mismanagement of natural resource, and increasing input cost. In order to ensure the food security and nutrition security of nations there is need adopt the smart and sustainable agriculture approach. Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL) and Big Data Analytics (BDA) are promising and cutting-edge technologies that are reshaping the economies towards in fourth industrial revolution i.e. Industry 4.0. IoT, AI, ML DL and BDA are playing pivotal role in driving agriculture towards smart and sustainable track. In this chapter, potential of these technologies is presented in various sectors of agriculture namely; automation in machinery and robotics in agriculture, crop health and disease monitoring and irrigation management, climate monitoring for better yield, crop need and yield prediction, and livestock management.
