Spirituality at the Workplace and Female ADHD Employees’ Flourishing
摘要
This entry examines how workplace spirituality fosters the flourishing of female employees with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder through the lens of ba—the physical, mental, and virtual spaces where knowledge creation occurs. We argue that traditional neurodiversity support structures in organizations must evolve beyond mere accommodation to create environments that celebrate neurodivergent thinking patterns. The study addresses three critical dimensions: the singular challenges faced by women with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in professional settings, including masking behaviors and rejection-sensitive dysphoria; the role of workplace spirituality in creating psychological safety and fostering authentic self-expression; and the configuration of ba types that facilitate knowledge creation among neurodivergent employees. Our theoretical framework demonstrates how integrating workplace spirituality through a ba transformation enhances individual flourishing and organizational knowledge dynamics. This work contributes to management literature by establishing a novel perspective on neurodiversity support in organizations, suggesting that workplace spirituality catalyzes transforming neurodivergent traits from challenges into strategic assets that drive innovation and organizational success.
