Model of Sustained Happiness Synthesizing Western and Eastern Spiritual Perspectives on Well-Being, A
摘要
Western and eastern countries have differences, but a common concern between them is “well-being.” Well-being has multiple perspectives; however, a deep dive into spirituality literature revealed that well-being is a perceptual concept, backed by philosophical and spiritual foundations. The chapter aims at exploring occidental and oriental spiritual moorings that propel individual well-being. It dwells into conceptual understanding and prevailing dimensions of well-being from eastern and western lenses of spirituality and presents a critical review on well-being and happiness synthesizing the two.
