The middle cerebellar peduncle (MCP) is the largest of the three cerebellar peduncles and connects the pons and cerebellum. MCP comprises primarily fibers from pontine nuclei that decussate in the pons and then pass lateral to the posterior pontine nuclei and long tracts, to terminate in the contralateral cerebellar hemisphere.
