Lateral Lemniscus
摘要
The lateral lemniscus (LL) is in the posterior pons and midbrain and carries auditory data from the cochlear nucleus and superior olive to the ipsilateral and contralateral inferior colliculus. In the pons, the LL is close to the spinothalamic and spinocerebellar tracts, adjacent to the floor of the fourth ventricle. Higher up in the pons, LL is adjacent to the dentato-rubro corticothalamic tract, reaching the inferior colliculi in the posterior midbrain.
