The anterior thalamic radiation (ATR) connects the thalamus with the anterior frontal lobe. A large component of this radiation arises from the mediodorsal thalamic nucleus, and medial and anterior thalamus. From the thalamus, the ATR then extends anteriorly within the anterior limb of the internal capsule and then fans out lateral to the frontal horn to terminate in the anterior frontal lobe.

摘要

The anterior thalamic radiation (ATR) connects the thalamus with the anterior frontal lobe. A large component of this radiation arises from the mediodorsal thalamic nucleus, and medial and anterior thalamus. From the thalamus, the ATR then extends anteriorly within the anterior limb of the internal capsule and then fans out lateral to the frontal horn to terminate in the anterior frontal lobe.
