Accumbofrontal Tract
摘要
The accumbofrontal tract (AFT) connects the basal frontal lobe with the nucleus accumbens. The anterior end of the AFT is in the medial orbitofrontal and rectal gyri, inferior to the uncinate and inferior fronto-occipital fasciculi, and inferior to the caudate ventromedial subthalamic projections. The AFT passes posteriorly parallel to the medial surface of the cerebral hemisphere, close to the inferior edge of the frontal horn of the lateral ventricle, and infero-lateral to the head of the caudate nucleus. The posterior termination is at the nucleus accumbens, which is inferior to the head of the caudate, and medial to the putamen.
