More Reasoning: Inference and Prediction
摘要
This chapter focuses on two papers in philosophy, Brandom, R. B. (2001) Articulating reasons: An introduction to inferentialism, and Harman, G. (1986) Change in view: Principles of reasoning. We often think of reasoning as a sequence of logical operations, in which some ideas imply others. Is that a good account of reasoning? Can the predictive perspective offer any insights on this?
