摘要

It is important to be sustainable, to know how to communicate and to transfer all the company’s commitment to pursuing this mission; it is on this that the company will be evaluated by its main stakeholders. Starting from these premises, we discuss how companies (in our case some companies in the energy sector), attentive to the risks linked to ESG factors manage to improve their corporate reputation. Analyzing the impact of integrating ESG criteria in the evaluation of corporate reputation is fundamental because the perception that stakeholders have of a company’s reputation is often decisive in their purchasing and investment decisions. The research methodology adopted is based on a qualitative approach. After the analysis of the framework proposed by the ESG Global Perception Index, we will proceed with the analysis of the sustainability balance sheet of some companies in the energy sector which, based on the “ESG Perception Index” are positioned among the top ten most sustainable companies in Italy trying to understand the reason for this ranking. The use of corporate strategies in line with the objectives of the 2030 Agenda rapidly improves the reputation of companies, favoring higher ratings and consolidating the relationship of trust with their stakeholders.
