SmartCamelHealth: An Innovative System for Real-Time Camel Health Monitoring
摘要
This paper describes the development and deployment of an advanced camel health monitoring system that makes use of temperature sensors, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) tags, and Raspberry Pi hardware combined with Node-RED software. This technology greatly improves camel management methods by providing accurate camel identification, tracking, and real-time health data collection. The BLE tags provide a non-invasive and comfortable method for continuous tracking, addressing visibility and tag loss issues commonly associated with RFID tags. The system’s architecture, centered around the Raspberry Pi, ensures reliable data processing and transmission, while Node-RED facilitates efficient data visualization on a dashboard. This dashboard allows stakeholders to assess camel health status based on critical metrics such as body temperature and activity levels. It is shown how well the system works to enhance herd management and guarantee camel welfare by making proactive decisions. By offering a scalable, economical, and dependable solution that tackles issues with wireless connectivity, battery life, and data transfer processes, the research enriches the field of animal health management.
