The chapter examines nations’ various methods in tertiary education systems, highlighting creative ways to incorporate climate science, sustainability, and resilience-building into formal and informal learning settings. Using experiential and place-based learning techniques, interdisciplinary teaching, and integrating indigenous and local knowledge are essential subjects to make climate education practical and relevant. Through innovative research, policy advocacy, and community engagement, the chapter emphasizes how higher education institutions (HEIs) in Fiji, New Zealand, Finland, the United States of America, Australia, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, South Africa, Singapore, India and Indonesia are global leaders in advancing climate education. This chapter offers a blueprint for expanding successful climate education programs to give people and societies worldwide more power in the fight against climate change by charting global trends and best practices.
