La AraucaníaLa Araucanía, in the southStandardization of ChileChile, was a territory inhabitedEducational architecture since ancient times by the Mapuche people who divided the country in two. At the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century, the StateState undertook a series of occupation strategies aimed at consolidating modernizing processes. Among them, it addresses certain architectural experiences that show the will to consolidate the nation-stateState. In this context, the construction of modern school establishments as civilizing detonators is noted. The purpose of this work is to present the architectural alternatives chosen by the StateState to impose its official presence, among them standardizationStandardization as a transformative action.1
