My first encounter with Antonio Aurilia was in a long distance phone call. Subsequently, I helped to bring him from the University of Toronto to California State Polytechnic University-Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona), where he had a long and distinguished career as a teacher and researcher. This led to a 30+ year friendship with Antonio and his wife Elizabeth. In this chapter, I share some of my recollections.
