This examination is carried out with the aim of delving into how business BPR affects organizational excellence at GAM. This study took a descriptive-analytical approach and was intended for those overseeing different levels within GAM (Deputy Director of a City, Executive Director, Director, Department Head, Unit Head) amounting to 975 managers. Rather than opting for a simple random sampling technique, the study decided on using a stratified random sampling method which resulted in a sample size of 300 managers. The findings from this research unveiled a statistically significant impact at the significance level (0.05 ≥ α). It was the dimensions related to business BPR: readiness for change, process redesign, empowerment of employees and information technology. These dimensions went on to affect another set of dimensions belonging to organizational excellence: strategic excellence, organizational structure excellence, organizational culture excellence and leadership excellence. All in all it seemed that these aspects were deeply interwoven within the fabric that made up the Greater Amman Municipality. The study suggests that all levels of administration at the Greater Amman Municipality should be made aware of the significance of Business BPR (BPR) as a necessary measure to enhance its services. This was proposed to be achieved through conducting training programs on BPR. Moreover, it also promoted the idea of elevating focus on organizational excellence in the Greater Amman Municipality as an objective to compete for, via winning the King Abdullah II Award for Government Excellence. This study thus underscores an urgency in both raising awareness on BPR at GM and setting attainment goal for the King Abdullah II Award for Government Excellence—two parallel tracks in a strategic effort towards performance improvement.
