The Role of Talent Management Practices in Enhancing Organizational Commitment: A Field Study in the Greater Amman Municipality
摘要
The objective of the research is to investigate how talent management practices contribute to enhancing organizational commitment. In order to accomplish this, a questionnaire was created by the researchers to gather primary data from a sample group consisting of 125 managers. The findings of the study revealed that the Greater Amman Municipality had a moderate level of talent management implementation, while organizational commitment also showed a moderate level with some areas of improvement. Moreover, the study demonstrated a significant and positive correlation between talent management implementation and organizational commitment. Based on these results, several recommendations were made. It was suggested that dedicated departments be established within the Greater Amman Municipality to focus on nurturing talented individuals. Additionally, advanced and diverse selection methods should be employed to assess competence from various perspectives. Furthermore, it was advised that the municipality effectively address the challenges faced by managers that impact their performance. Furthermore, the study proposed the identification of performance gaps among managers by comparing their actual performance to expected performance, determining the necessary skills they require, and developing a mechanism for talent management and performance improvement to ensure their commitment to the municipality.
