The previous chapters of this Springer’s book have covered in some detail gold deposits in terms of geological characteristics, tectonic settings, types, genesis and spatiotemporal distribution, in addition to the role of microorganisms in rehabilitation of ancient Egyptian gold mines, and ore processing and extraction. In this chapter, we briefly review the opportunities and challenges for gold mining and investment in Egypt. These issues will be discussed in bullet points without going into much more details.
