The agricultural sector is a vital component of India's economy, which has led the country to become the second-largest global agricultural producer. Despite this achievement, India's crop yields per hectare remain notably low, resulting in challenges for farmers and financial losses. To address this issue, our research project proposes a comprehensive set of tools to empower Indian farmers with informed decision-making in crop production. The proposed tools include (1) Crop production prediction - employing various regression models to predict crop production in different regions of India. (2) Crop recommendation system - utilizing multiclass classification models to provide personalized crop suggestions to farmers. (3) Business Intelligence (BI) dashboard enabling farmers to visualize and explore crop price data from diverse markets over multiple years. These tools aim to improve crop planning and management, offer valuable insights into price trends, and enable farmers to select crops tailored to their specific requirements and conditions. Ultimately, our project seeks to enhance crop production and food security, thereby revolutionizing India's agricultural sector and contributing positively to the lives of millions of farmers.
