Decolonising Criminology: A Toolkit for Inclusive Practice
摘要
This chapter seeks to provide practical suggestions for front-line teaching staff who wish to begin the process of decolonising their teaching resources but who may not know where to begin. The toolkit is informed by existing inclusive pedagogical resources from throughout the HE sector, as we are aware there is a substantial body of good practice we can all draw on. It provides an easy-to-use checklist against which to measure modules, as a place to start. An example of a module before and after decolonising is included to provide a practical example of how to expand existing resources to encompass global perspectives. The final section draws upon research from a London Modern with criminology students, and provides suggestions for inclusive practice and pedagogy.
