Findings and Insights
摘要
Aside from sharing the ten key stories about colonial mentality that emerged from the storytelling sessions, I discuss the insights we gleaned from them, including the question of Filipino identity, problems with language policies, historical distortion and textbook errors, gender dimension of colonial mentality, policy creation and implementation challenges, the movement to value Filipino and Indigenous Peoples’ knowledges, and the need to take care of our educators. I also delve into my re-definition of the current operational definition of colonial mentality, based on the insights from this study: it is not merely an individual psychological construct; rather, it is a systemic problem of the world.
