Study and Analysis of the Free Transverse Vibration of Two Beams Coupled by an Elastic System Formed by a Double Spring-Mass
摘要
In this study, we examine the transverse vibratory motion of two isotropic beams coupled by two springs, each connected to a mass, based on the Euler–Bernoulli theory. The principal objective is to determine the natural frequencies of free vibration and establish the modes of vibration for this system of beams coupled by mass-spring elements for different boundary conditions of the two beams. We also confirm these natural frequencies by comparing them with those already reported in the literature. In addition, we explore the effect of the coupling in the specific case where the two beams are clamped at all four ends. This in-depth study is carried out using the method of dividing the problem into sections and conserving and using the matrix original that is defined as all unknowns of the problem.
